Questions
Ask the pumpkins.
What do I need?
A projector and three pumpkins. Plain uncarved ones work best, and fake ones last all season. Make the video online in your browser.
Which songs work?
Try one YouTube song free, up to 6 minutes from start to finish. The Season Pass also supports uploads (mp3 and friends) and songs up to 12 minutes. Songs with clear singing sound best.
Can I use any song?
Only use songs you own the rights to or have permission to use in your pumpkin video; buying a song, streaming it, or finding it on YouTube does not by itself give you those rights. If you paste a YouTube link, you confirm you have permission for us to fetch and process its audio and reuse its timing and lyrics for others who submit the same video. Uploads remain private to your account and are not shared or matched to other users. Personal use is not automatically fair use. Posting your finished video online may lead to copyright claims, muting, or removal.
What does it cost?
Start with one free YouTube song up to 6 minutes. Sign-in is required. The Season Pass is $13 a year (it renews each year; cancel anytime), with 5 songs a season, uploads, every look, and shows that loop all night. Paid DittoDub plans include 10 songs a season at no extra charge.
When is the online editor open?
The online editor opens October 29 for the 2026 Halloween season and closes at the end of November 30, U.S. Pacific time. It returns next Halloween season; we'll announce the opening date. Your annual payment covers access while the editor is open, with no partial refunds for the closed months except where required by law. Download your videos before closing, because we may delete songs and uploads after the season.
Do I need a DittoDub account?
Yes. Singing Pumpkins runs on DittoDub accounts: sign in with yours, or make one in a click.
How long does it take?
About as long as the song itself the first time. After that, changes are quick.
Can I choose who sings what?
Yes. Every line is a bar you can drag to another pumpkin, stretch, split or copy.
Can I try it free?
Yes. Sign in to make one free YouTube song up to six minutes from start to finish. It includes every look and a downloadable video. Failed processing does not use the allowance; an interrupted song can resume in the editor. For uploads, longer songs, or more songs, get the Season Pass.
