The fine print

Copyright and takedowns

Last updated: October 29, 2026

Singing Pumpkins by DittoDub respects copyright. Users must have the rights needed for the songs they submit and the videos they make. This policy covers material available through Singing Pumpkins, including shared timing and lyrics for YouTube songs. It describes our process under the U.S. Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA), where applicable.

Where to send notices and counter-notices

Send notices to the copyright contact listed in DittoDub's Terms of Service:

Please use the subject “Singing Pumpkins copyright notice” or “Singing Pumpkins counter-notice” to help us route your message. A different subject line does not invalidate an otherwise sufficient notice.

If you own a copyright, or are authorized to act for its owner, send a written notice containing all of the following:

Consider whether the use is authorized by law, including fair use, before submitting a notice. We may request missing information if a notice is incomplete. You do not need a Singing Pumpkins account to submit a notice.

What happens after a notice

We respond expeditiously to valid notices by removing or disabling access to the identified material where required by law. This may include disabling a shared song result or associated lyrics. We take reasonable steps to notify the affected user when we remove or disable material under the DMCA.

We may share the notice, including your contact details, with affected users and with advisers or others as reasonably needed to handle the complaint or comply with law. Do not include unrelated sensitive information.

We can act on material within our control. We cannot remove a source video from YouTube, a video posted to another platform, or files kept on someone else's Mac. Contact the relevant platform or person for those copies.

How to submit a counter-notice

If we removed or disabled your material and you believe this resulted from a mistake or misidentification, you may send a written counter-notice to the agent above. Include all of the following:

Please also provide an email address so we can contact you. This counter-notice consent is separate from the dispute provisions in our Terms of Use.

If we receive a valid counter-notice, we will promptly send a copy to the original complainant and inform them that we will replace the material or stop disabling access in 10 business days. Under the DMCA process, we will restore the material or stop disabling it no fewer than 10 and no more than 14 business days after receiving the counter-notice, unless our designated agent first receives notice that the complainant has filed a court action seeking to restrain the user from the allegedly infringing activity relating to that material. Separate lawful grounds, such as an unrelated Terms violation, may still prevent access; a counter-notice does not guarantee reinstatement of an account or seasonal service availability.

Repeat infringers and misuse of this process

We maintain a policy of terminating accounts of repeat infringers in appropriate circumstances. We consider relevant notices, counter-notices, and other available information when applying this policy; it is not a promise of a fixed number of warnings. We accommodate and do not interfere with standard technical measures used to identify or protect copyrighted works, as defined by the DMCA. We may also restrict access, disable particular songs or results, or terminate an account for a serious infringement or other violation of our Terms of Use. Users may not evade these measures by opening another account.

Knowingly and materially misrepresenting infringement, or claiming removal was a mistake or misidentification when it was not, may expose you to damages, costs, and attorneys' fees under the DMCA. Consider legal advice before filing a notice or counter-notice. This process is for copyright complaints; other questions can go to contact@dittodub.com.
